Sadly only the orientations in August are available…
That completely blows. What happens if the August orientation gets full?
@Kyotoraz Does that mean we can’t register for classes until August?
@thethinker7 Yea, I kinda regret only applying to UT Austin. Right now I just want to flip them the bird and walk out. I’m starting to wonder why I even liked UT in the first place.
It’s still a great school, just a REALLY awful admissions process.
Just called and was reassured the next few days. The person I spoke to was very adamant.
At this point in time, they might as well just take us all out of our misery. I really want to get in but I am not exaggerating when I say this wait has been emotionally exhausting and genuinely disappointing.
@cdctransfer did you ask about a specific school or just in general?
@cdctransfer Most realistically in 2 weeks on June 15 since that’s when they said most of the decisions will be made. http://bealonghorn.utexas.edu/transfer/admission/after-you-apply
Well, I’m sorry to everyone that they had to see me being a upset at UT Austin. It’s probably not their fault and probably a lot of people decided to apply. I’m salty and I know it.
I got into UT, but not McCombs. All they are offering me is a liberal arts major. I am assuming it’s not worth going to the school and trying to re-apply to McCombs. I knew it was a long shot, but it didn’t hurt to try.
University of Oregon: GPA 3.65
This wait is ridiculous…especially since most housing and orientation sessions will be full by the time we find out.
@UOUTA7 Did you find out today?
I was told they are trying their absolute best to get decisions out in the next few days into early next week. I’m trying to get into RTF in which the applicant pool must be extremely competitive and that is why it is taking so long.
@Toastyful yes
Sorry to hear McCombs didnt work out @UOUTA7 , from my understanding u got into Mays right? If so, that is really a great business school as well!
Levels of anxiety are high. These next two weeks are going to be brutal as the decisions seem imminent. I suggest being as calculated about this as possible. Be smart: know what increases your anxiety and make sure you keep it in check. There is going to be some amount of stress that we just have to accept, true, but much of it can be mitigated by limiting how often you check your status and how much free time you have in your hands. Don’t have much to do? Go volunteer your time or something. Live with your 'rents? Do some shit for mom and dad. Worrying about things we can’t control is both natural and nonsensical. Again, don’t just let your anxiety take over, make the conscious choice to keep your attention elsewhere. This advice is as much for me as for anyone else feeling anxious. Good luck all, for better or worse it’ll be over soon!
Same thing for me. I don’t really know what it is but if I were to guess it may be because of all the applicants submitting documents to them. I hope they clear it since it makes me think there’s something wrong with my transcript.
I failed to mention my status still says complete and on time.
I just called them and they said decision should be made my June 1st but they will start rolling out over the next 2 weeks and the latest we should find out is mid june or so
Y’all we have to keep in mind that today was the last day to send in transcripts for those with -30 hours. I am thinking that unless our applications were remarkably strong, all applicants are in a stockpile waiting to be compared to those who applied with less than 30 hours in March. So it kind of makes sense that today would be the first real decision making day and that we will be hearing back (hopefully acceptances) very soon. good luck guys
