Man this is really awesome. I love not knowing if I will move 1700 miles away in two months, without housing or a real plan for getting over there. And isn’t it great that my roommates, who have already signed a lease and want to move all the stuff over have been badgering me for a decision since April? Don’t forget that I need to start the transfer process for my job but I can’t get because I don’t even know if I’ve been accepted the fucking university yet. This sucks.
Just called admissions and they said “you will hear back between now and the first day of school.” What kind of joke is this
This years admission process is the slowest I have ever seen looking at the old threads here.
They’re probably tired of people of calling by now and are saying whatever.

Friend just got rejected to his 1st and 2nd Cockrell with a choice of COLA. [He will be going to A&M] GPA of 4.0 with 29 credits at ACC and a 3.65 with 43 credits elsewhere… tough year for shor
I’ve seen many parallels with people I know, so I’m not going to mention details of what I have heard about Cockrell on this thread . All I know is that yesterday a lot of people got denied, 5 of them were friends. Some may be people here or not, can’t tell for sure.
In my case, tomorrow is my deadline. I haven’t heard from UT. But I am signing a lease to go to College Station for summer 2. I will start classes there on July. I am choosing to have a nice affordable place and time to guarantee that the logistics for the following 12 months will be optimal for my studying at A&M.
This will be my own way to essentially withdraw my application.
I just want to remind people about something… Many of you folks are strong overachievers which is very good for this stage were stuck at, but we are all just applying to undergraduate school. Time will fade the name of the school we attended to, specially for engineers. Most of our learning and opportunities will come with the level of passion and commitment we apply to our projects.
If you don’t make it into UT that’s OK. They’re not choosing what’s best for you, they are choosing what’s best for them. And for that reason UT is not always the best option for everybody. Look up for the advantages of your option B schools. And see how you can get the best out of them. It’s a much better exercise rather than refreshing mystatus every couple of minutes.
In my case at college station it is the housing, the simplicity of transportation. The engineering contests and project fairs. The student network and the resources for my own personal projects. A&M doesn’t make feel that I have to constantly try to be a snowflake. And as one who appreciates quiet, a small town is not an issue, but an advantage.

Austin gave me admission but not in first or second choice majors. They are just gonna give me admission in liberal arts and then want me to transfer internally. I wont go there.

For all you people worried: When I applied for Fall 2013 I had less than 30 hours. I didn’t get accepted until June 10th.

@USMCVet14 Most people I know didn’t get in this week, and some people on here didn’t get in either.
Almost all admissions send out the rejections first. So if you’re still in review it is a good sign. As much as you want to get an answer you should be glad you didn’t receive one this week. I’m 90% sure that next week they’ll start releasing the acceptances.
