Congrats to those that got in today! I’m still in review for COLA.
@cdctransfer holy smokes. That’s an insanely low acceptance rate!!! Questioning whether I will get in for internal transfer now…
CONGRATS TO EVERYONE, HOOKEM!
@summeroo Yeah, I’m on the fence on if I will be attending UT or not. I should know soon. Are you going for sure?
Congrats everyone!!! Hopefully eveyone will hear soon…(come on CS)
@cdctransfer I am like 90% sure that I am. Texas is my home and my best friends all go to UT, and I the type of Comm that I’m learning in Boston is essentially a mix between sociology and psychology. So either way I’m coming out with a liberal arts degree. But English is my minor here and I’m good at it, and I want to write my own screenplays so I think it would still be beneficial as far as learning goes. There is always grad school too. Austin is a great town. Let me know if you decide to go. We can be friends!
Hey, I haven’t been accepted yet but anyone know any open dorms? I’ve heard Jester is full and is currently only handing out supplemental dorms.
I was also accepted for COLA undeclared. Didn’t get my first choice Moody PR but glad to be accepted to such a great University. See yall in the fall! Good luck to all of those still waiting!!
@cdctransfer So in other words, if we’re still in review with RTF as our top choice, we’re really just in review for COLA at this point?
@UTdst2 not necessarily… Rejections have been followed by acceptances in the past and the other way around. No way to know.
Literally still squealing from excitement. I think everyone following me on social media is annoyed by all of my posts lol, BUT WHATEVER. SERIOUSLY PULLING FOR EVERYONE STILL WAITING FOR DECISIONS, HOPE TO SEE Y’ALL IN THE FALL!!! #HOOKEM
Is anyone else still waiting to hear back from Cockrell? This is torture.
I just heard back from cockrell and did not get into chemical engineering. 70+ hours and 3.9 GPA from OU. Good luck to you guys.
Congratulations to everyone who has been accepted!
Sorry to hear that @applicant567
@TheThinker7 I am.
@TheThinker7 me too. It’s much harder immediately after this flood of acceptances from ECE. What can we do but wait and cultivate patience?
@13rker At this point I’ve reached acceptance. I use to be very, very impatient and checked online everyday, every few minutes but now? It’s like once or twice a day with me just going meh.
I just hope we will hear back tomorrow! It sucks that I currently don’t know where I will be living for the next 2 years.
I am a longtime lurker Mom and found out today my son was accepted as a transfer to English Dept. (his first choice). He had 15 hours of dual credit and took 16 hours this spring at ACC. Has a 3.6 GPA. His situation was a little unique in that he had severe abdominal migraines during 2 years of HS. He was forced to withdraw from regular school and graduated from HS a semester late. He had also applied as a freshman for summer 2015 and didn’t get in as a freshman. He wrote a special circumstances essay that discussed this and I think it probably helped with his application. He did not have any letters of recommendation. Good luck to all of you who are still waiting to hear.
I got into COLA - Government. Here to uh give you guys some hope. High School, I received a 1.9 because I was a screw up for their inept system.(really just a self fulfilling prophecy though, if you’re told you’re shit what do you become?) I moved to Austin to attend ACC and got a 3.3 final GPA with a positive slope going up from a 2.9 to a 3.7-4.0 for my final semesters. I spent months on my main essay it was mostly an explanation about my past and my experience. My letters of Rec were also great. I took an honors class too. 64 credits total. Associate’s degree in government. Maybe you’ll get in!
I GOT IN FOR PSYCH BS!!!
