summer festivals in September

Hello, everybody! I’m an undergrad violist majoring in performance. New to posting here, but have read and benefited from many other people’s posts, especially those regarding summer festivals.

Does anyone know of any summer programs that take place in September? My university starts in late September, and I’m aiming to spend as much of my summer as possible playing in music festivals. I’m mainly looking for ones that are free or almost free, but might also apply to ones that aren’t as a back-up. (I assume most of the festivals will be in Europe, since most universities in the states start earlier).

So far I know of:

Zermatt Academy
Academie Ravel (not free)

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

This will be of no help to OP, but for others reading the thread in the future, the Robert McDuffie Center for Strings (Macon, Georgia) holds a Labor Day Festival for Strings for high school string players. This past fall it was held from Sept. 2 to 6.

Lucerne is in late August and early September.

Ensemble-Akademie Freiburg (not free but excellent)

Thanks everyone!

is the Akademie -Freiburg happening in 2011? not clear from the website.
