<p>Remember that the seasons are opposite in South Africa compared to the United States. I.e. summer in the United States is winter in South Africa.</p>
<p>But the general thought on “volunteer” overseas trips for high school students is that they mean little in terms of achievements that impress college admissions readers.</p>
