Summer Internship Interview

Hi Jr,Sr
Typically how many times back and force AA-NY for summer internship interview?
What do you do when you have class conflict with 1st round interview?
I prefer not cut class. (I am sophomore.)

Sophomore internship recruiting: 2 times DTW-LGA, 1 time DTW-IAH sophomore year

Junior internship recruiting: I didnt want to go back to my sophomore internship so I interviewed for everything front office (from IBD to S&T to MBB).
11 times DTW-LGA, 4 times DTW-ORD, 2 times DTW-BOS, 1 time DTW-IAH + various other places junior year

Senior FT recruiting: I had a great returning full time offer in hand going into senior year, so I was really picky and didnt want to waste time interviewing senior year. I only flew less than 5 times for opportunities I deem better (which there arent many when your returning offer is at a good desk at a top BB)

I will tell you flying gets old really quick… I was so sick of flying by mid recruiting season junior year…

I think during junior second semester I went to less than 15 lectures+discussions in total across 4 classes all semester.
But I never was the type who learns for the sake of learning so I skip what I dont have to go and cram before exams anyway so interviewing really didnt affect me much. I actually had my first 4.0 semesters that semester.

Wow so many out side interviews……Company paid airfare ticket or did you pay?

Can’t we nail summer internship position in campus recruiting?

airfare is always paid by companies.
On campus recruiting is only on campus for first round. Once you move pass first round, super day is onsite (there are some exceptions like DB and RBS that do final round the day after first round on campus)

bearcats Thank you

When you say sophomore year, do you mean after you finish sophomore year, or after you finish freshman year? Is it possible to get a summer internship during the summer after your freshman year?

I mean after finish sophomore year ( rising Jr) for my case.
