summer internship/research opportunities at Harvard for high school students

Hi everyone,

I will hopefully be spending the summer at Harvard SSP. However, I was thinking about supplementing my for-credit classes with a meaningful internship/summer research project at one of Harvard’s graduate schools or affiliated research centers. Does anyone have any experience with doing such a thing, or does anyone know whether Harvard’s research centers or grad schools will allow high school students to work there?

Let’s get the discussion started. Thanks in advance for all of your input.

btw please feel free to post information on opportunities both for students interested in law, government, education etc. as well as science-oriented students.

bump…anyone there?

No. (ten chars)

There are some professors that will definitely let you intern if they have room. I had a summer job at an MIT lab for two summers. I think you best option is to find professors that you have an interest in–maybe expand your search to more than just Harvard. Look at universities in the Boston area, aka BU, MIT, etc. Send them emails stating your interests and see what happens.
