has anyone gotten an loa yet? im sooo nervous, i hope i get one

Plebe swimming is not that hard. It can be intense and demanding, but it’s not difficult. Here is a link to the Department of Physical Education’s website. http://www.usma.edu/dpe/courseofferings.htm. All the swimming courses are graded on the same level, so pick either low, high, or advanced, and take a look at some of the information offered. The tabs are on the top of the page. Realize that DPE does grade your courage. Do not freak in the pool. They will pull you out if you’re really in trouble, but they’re also going to wait and see if you can regain control of yourself and the situation and continue mission.

If you can’t swim at all, I’d suggest learning. Most YMCAs should offer lessons, or grab a buddy on the swim team and ask a favor. If you just need a program, check out sprint distance triathlon programs. Free Triathlon Training Programs and Plans. The running is always helpful, and the bike will keep the impact down. I have bad knees so that’s always a consideration for me.

has no one received an LOA??? its nearly august, and its kind of weird that no one on cc has received one…

I’ve heard of at least one, but until they choose to reveal themselves my lips are sealed!

comment about the LOAs … a while back there was a posting which basically asked those on CC info including if they had an LOA …it seemed to me that about 50% on CC had LOa --approx… as only about 15 % of a class has LOAs CC is probably a little skewed … so the point is --the admissions is a long haul -i hope you get an LOa, if not i hope you get admitted, or get a Prep offer etc … just be prepared for the long hau;
