Does anyone know anything about NYSSA( New York State’s Summer program in the visual arts)? My son wants to study painting and drawing. It’s very affordable due to state grants, and it is a four week program. He is also considering RISD’s six week program, which is wildly expensive. RISD did not have a portfolio review for acceptance, so we’re wondering if RISD would be worth the $$$$?
Thanks in advance for advice. I have read some of the on line discussion about RISD, but have never seen anything mentioned about NYSSA. Randy Williams, NYSSA’s artist director, gets rave reviews.
