Summer Program Big List- Data/Info - keep adding

It looks like they are aiming for a yield of 40. My guess is that they have close to 100% yield in normal years and keep a short wait list. This year, it could be very different. They could maybe want more than 40 because its online, and their yield might not be as high because kids might choose live programs over MPulse because they are live. I know; not helpful.

How many does MPULse accept for acting only? Or are they a part of the 40?

Thanks. Do you know how many actually apply each year?

No. I literally googled and counted people in photos to confirm the google results! But my googling never came across an answer to how many apply. I suspect any info you find might not be accurate this year. I know my S did not apply because he wants something in person.

OK Thanks for the info. Which programs do you know that are in person? (Sorry if I’m pelting you with too many questions)

I definitely do not have a full list because we are west coast and a lot of programs run past our school start date. Oklahoma City University and SSTI are for sure in person and I swear I saw a few others that I ignored once I saw they ran into August.

SSTI is definitely in person. www.southeasternsummertheatreinstitute.com Not sure if it is past the deadline, however.

Interlochen is deciding by mid March.
My son got into MPulse acting but we’ll wait to see also if any in persons open up. Bummer it’s remote Pace is in person but no boarding

SSTI is amazing! My D attended the Tech program the past three summers (virtual last year).

Hi everyone I just wanted to let you know if you are still looking for an unbelievable summer theater program I have heard that the Summer university theater experience (SUTE) is still accepting applications. My son did the program and learned so much and had a great time. It was virtual last year and like most of the other summer programs this year it will be virtual again, but the program is outstanding. This is the list of the faculty: Baldwin Wallace - Vicky Bussart, Boston University: McCaela Donovan, Carnegie Mellon - Gary Kline and Catherine Moore, Chapman University - Tamiko Washington, DePaul University - Jason Beck, Hartt School - Tracey Moore, Otterbein University - Lennie Leibowitz, Pace University - Julie Lawrence-Edsell and Bob Cline, Penn State University - Tyler McKenzie, Syracuse University - Christine Albright-Tufts and Rebecca Karpoff, Texas State - Kaitlin Hopkins, University of Michigan - Mark Madama and Gillian Eaton, UCLA - Joe Olivieri and Linda Kerns, UNCSA - Quin Gordon, USC - Anita Dashiell-Sparks and Kenneth Noel Mitchell

I strongly second MaxsMomma’s opinion regarding Summer University Theater Experience (SUTE): The Program — SUTE

My daughter attended last summer and it was invaluable for her audition preparation. She also learned a lot about various college programs and gained a sense of various teaching styles from the faculty. Even thought it was virtual, she made friends with many of the other students, and they continue to stay in touch. My understanding is there are a couple of spots left. Please feel free to message me with any questions.

Wondering if anyone knows the chances of getting admitted from the waitlist at the Michigan MPulse program (musical theatre).

Had this another thread before realizing this may be the better place…son was wait listed to NYU Tisch for MT. Does anyone know about wait list movement for that program? Wondering if he should get his hopes up and also about when he might hear anything? Thx!
