Does anyone know any good summer program(s) after high school in CA or on the east coast?

i was wondering about this as well!

I guess no one knows :(. i don’t want to waste a summer doing nothing

I’ve never done any of those summer programs or anything, I always find working to be much more beneficial to me personally.

Dang the Jackson Laboratory SSP app was just due today…

Almost all of the university “pre-college” programs are open to 12th grade graduates. Most of the participants in these programs will be younger, 11th graders on their way to 12th grade, but these programs are open to you. Many offer college credit, so it is a useful way to spend the summer.

I think UVA writers’ workshop (google: Curry School of Education Young Writers Workshop) is open to high schoolers after they graduate. App. due date is Mar. 1 usually. It’s an awesome program --S loved it for two years and is now a first-year at UVA :).

I just found the site, but they seem to be having some tech issues (can’t find the online app., but it may just not be up yet). Email them to confirm whether they accept current seniors:
