Summer programs/camps?

<p>Well, someone told me that I NEED to do summer programs to get into a good college, particularly ivy-leagues.</p>

<p>Is this true? Because if it is, I’m incredibly screwed. I’ve done no summer programs whatsoever.</p>

<p>How much of a difference does it make whether or not I do summer programs?</p>

<p>i doubt it makes that much difference unless you’re doing some amazingly hard to get into program (which shows if you’re qualified for that, you’d probably just as qualified to get into ___ university.)</p>

<p>I heard that joining a summer program actually shows that you’re DOING something over the summer and not just slacking off.</p>
