I am a ninth grader and I recently learned about summer programs offered from various universities for high school students. Being interested in biology or medicine, I wanted to know what options are available for biology (maybe genetics, etc.) as a summer course. What are ways to get selected to really selective ones like the Yale Global Scholars Program. Also, do colleges look for summer programs and any advanced courses and hands-on learning on a resume and does this kind of an activity count?
Colleges like that you do something productive over the summer. This could be working or doing a summer progam. Colleges offer summer programs to make money. They are legit and it may be interesting for you…but it may be better for you to make $1000 at your summer job instead of costing your parents $1000 for a summer course.
