<p>Currently I am a high school junior. I have applied for a few internships locally at well known labs. Unfortunately most of the programs I am applying to are catered towards those who are minorities in engineering, so since I am brown, I most likely will not get in. </p>
<p>I want to take a class over the summer at Northwestern, but my parents find that it is a waste of time and money . . . . </p>
<p>I am pretty good at computers, especially with the microsoft suite - I have won awards at both state and regional level. </p>
<p>Does anyone have any good ideas that I do over the summer??</p>
<p>Start a company, create a website, and so on. </p>
