how much hours of reading is required weekly in classes like intro psychology, intro anthropology, intro chem, intro bio, and Eng Expository writing classes? also, is there a summer reading list or a recommended list of books that i should read to make my life easier once classes start?

No, this isn’t high school lol. Reading hours of course depends on your pace. Either way, people like Edwards for psyche don’t even have a book. I don’t know the pace of people like Hampton. The bio and chem reading load is really manageable from my understanding. The only time bio gets tedious is when you have to start reading from the genetics book which is highly technical and very dense. English classes depend on the professor. I’d imagine some could get away w/o reading until the first writing assignment is due (in which case they read b/c it’s necessary to complete the assignment). College is a lot less structured, and the burder is mainly on you to keep us. Only classes like gen. chem and intro/gen. physics have any real “checks” besides exams or quizzes to keep you on track. With these checks of course being the problems. I suppose the bio quizzes could count.

Maybe this isn’t what you’re looking for, but you might be interested in Cal Newport’s books about doing well in college.

to get a headstart on college reading, read a few books this summer on any topic! check out that summer reading list table at barnes and noble. you don’t want your brain to be idle the summer before college! your classes will likely require heavy reading in the first week of school.
