Summer research program or Physics C course?

<p>My son (Junior) currently is applying to various research summer programs. He is interested in engineering major, so Physics C course is very important for him.
Should he do research program or Physics C course over the summer?</p>

<p>His school doesn’t offer Physics C course. He wont be able to take this course elsewhere during Spring or Fall.
If he takes the course online, he wont be able to finish it by May (for AP test).</p>

<p>Everyone is different, but what worked for my son was doing summer research and self-studying for Physics C. His HS Physics teacher loaned him some books and offered to help if son had questions. </p>
