Hi everyone, I’ve been looking online for medical summer programs/internships and I’ve come across a lot of research-related ones (Just as random examples, these aren’t all medical: Stanford Institutes of Medicine Summer Research Program, UC Davis Young Scholars Program, UCSB Research Mentorship Program, etc.) I’m just wondering if research programs would accept students with no prior research experience. Agewise, I’m actually not even eligible for these until next year but I’m looking for a way to somehow get involved in research…
I really want to apply and get accepted to one of these research internships/programs too. I think I may be a bit older than you, but still have no research experience. Telling myself it’s okay, and they won’t accept me if I do not have the right qualifications is something I keep doing to ease my nerves. My biggest fear is getting stuck in a program where I have no guidance, because they expect me to know almost everything. If you find any other programs having to do with medicine and/or biomedical research do let me know! I’ve scoured the internet looking for programs!!
