summer research programs

Does anyone know of biology/biomedical summer research programs that are still open?

I’ve been waitlisted for the two that I’ve applied to.

The NIH IRTA Program is still very actively taking applications.

[NIH Postbaccalaureate IRTA Program](http://www.training.nih.gov/student/pre-irta/previewpostbac.asp)

Hope that helps.

Oh, just saw that you meant Summer programs. I know the applicant pool is still accessible to labs, so I am guessing there is still a chance you could be selected, but it may be getting late in the process. I would suggest contacting NIH PIs that interest you directly, and if they would take summer students through the NIH program.

You could try to submit an application to the national labs through the SULI program.

They stop making selections on April 1.

Do you know when it is generally too late to apply for the IRTA program? I know it is a year round selection process but it seems like they hire mostly beginning in the summer, which seems like it would be a little late now to apply. Or is this incorrect?
