summer school at UCSD

i just got a letter from the summer school program at UCSD for high school students. does anybody have more info in this? is it a beneficial or prestigious summer program?

i had a couple of friends go for a program (biology related, not sure what it was) at UCSD. it is more of a beneficial summer program, i believe. they paid to go. and for their program, it was quite cheap.

I got one too but I know hardly anything about it other than what was written in the brochure. I don’t believe it is particularly prestigious, however…

How did you guys get these? I never get anything in the mail.

I got my letter from UCSD along with a bunch of other colleges/universities, directly after taking the PSAT. So I’m assuming that’s why I got my mail.

I never get these mail too. All i get are mails from colleges that I am not interested to (ie. all womens, religious affiliated, not prestigous, etc.)

hm maybe they do send these letters according to PSAT scores? i hope that is a foreshadowing of a good or bad PSAT score…nervous

bump…

has anybody BEEN to the program at UCSD? how is it??

Anisha08, are you a sophomore? PSAT doesn’t really count for anything sophomore year, regardless. You usually get mail, I’ve heard (I did). But that’s only if you checked the box on the test itself for the Studen Search Service or something like that. Otherwise you won’t get anything. :)

yeah i`m a sophomore…i think i checked the student search service box.

That’s weird then, if you haven’t gotten anything. Have you seen your scores yet? What you got may explain something.
