I am currently a sophomore. I have three options for this summer: a precollege summer camp in Waterloo or Stanford, or a research. For the research, I will be working in a hospital, and become an “asistant” that watches every step live. I do not know which one to choose. The precollege camp is the IDEAS of Waterloo or the Social Entrepreneurship of Stanford. Help me out please??? ;
Seriously? Noone will help?
I think you should go for research. But since you said you’d be working as an assistant, how are you even researching on a particular project? I suggest that you could do an individual research and create a report based on that from your experience.
Unless Stanford is your dream school, I don’t think it’s worth spending money on Stanford’s summer course.
I think that you aren’t actually going to be doing any research at Stanford. From what you have written, it looks like you will be shadowing a person who is doing research. As for the other programs, I do not really know
Not sure what we are supposed to help with. It’s a personal choice what you will enjoy doing and since we don’t know the “research” internship, we can’t comment on what you would most likely get the most benefit from. My only advice is don’t pick something based upon what you think will look good on your college app but rather what fits in with what you are interested in or “passionate” (overused word these days) about.
