Summer school!

Hi, so I am a freshman from NYC at a top twenty school, and I wanted to take a summer course at NYU Tisch. I was wondering if there were any grade requirements to get in or anything like that.
Also, the one I was really looking at (Preparing the screenplay [NYU Summer 2011](Summer)) it says the fee is just 14 dollars a credit (it’s 4 credits) plus the 270 fee. This still seems very low, and I wasn’t sure if I read the fees correctly, can anybody help me about this?

What top twenty school is there here besides Columbia? Do you mean you’re a freshman in another school, or at high school? Summer classes don’t have requirements for registration (apart from sequential prereqs, i.e. Calc I or equivalent before Calc II). When they list “fee,” they essentially mean “surcharge.” Tisch classes normally run about $1,200 per credit for the summer, if I recall correctly. When they list a fee, that’s a lab/studio fee that’s additional to the cost of the class.

Sorry, but that $14/ point is an addional added expense to the over $4974 they are charging you in tuition and fees. Go to your link and find tuition and fees. I hope you really didn’t expect NYU to charge $56 for a course!
