yup, Thats why i am not too damned about it. Also i did decent, not great, but decent on the SAT. I will prolly retake in september i think.

so you guys ready for the sats tomorrow??

on a scale of 1 to 10, I’m on a 2

i’m at a 6.

well silver your are twice as prepared as i am.

the sat SATURDAY.
i panicked for a minute.

i’m only taking sciences and math, so i’m prepped.

aaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
don’t remind me of the SAts:)))
I’m taking math, physics and german…

Anyone have any good examples of “unexpected events” in stories, novels, movies, tv shows etc…?

I need to find examples of these for a project and any help would be very much appriciated.

In Shutter, the girl finds out that her husband actually helped to rape the girl?

And on a happier note, I thought that the SAT IIs were a lot better than I expected them to be. Phew. Thank god! Not that they weren’t hard. They just weren’t I-can-only-answer-one-question-out-of-sixty hard.

Well, in school… for a project… I don’t think rape would be a good idea, even if it does deal with unexpected events. Also, it’s should be a satire unexpected event. Not a “Gasp, you raped her”. lol

Silverdragon, do you mean deus ex machina or the whole book surrounding unexpected events? If it’s deus ex machina, then maybe in Hamlet where he was “rescued” by pirates, and lots of unexpected events in Jane Eyre, like the lightning and the call near the end of the book…hope this helps.

Nice, not bad. Thanks. =D

Just a question. It just popped in my head, but would this year’s Dorito’s superbowl commercial work?

I mean the guy was attacked by an unsuspecting man mouse while eating chips. lol

suhee-- that wasn’t much of a surprise, though. i kinda guessed that from the trailer.

silverdragon-- it would be awesome if you could get a full project out of that. that commercial was definitely a wth? moment.

Yeah totally. I think I’ll just use superbowl commercials, cause they are usually wth moments. lol

Wwwoooww…
So it turns out I’m spending a lot of money just preparing to go to ssp.
Well… most of its for clothes that i would have bought anyways but guilt waves are washing over me as i spend more and more money. Hahaha what is that disease? Shopaholicism? That’s me… I’m sure most of the girls identify with it at some time. >.<

only 5 mo days! well atleast for socorro.
I still yet have to learn vpython. here come more late nights, while i am whiling away my time getting distracted by youtube etc when i should be learning vpython.
Should be good practice for ssp.

I’m starting to pack and for some reason I have the very distinct feeling that the moment I get to SSP, I’ll realize that I’ve forgotten something. Or there is something that I need but SSP didn’t put it on the list.

hey i got a pretty legit question. On the survey/questionaire thingy i marked that i would not be bring a blanket and pillow. So will they be providing me with this and how much is it? If they do make us pay for the pillow/comforter do they accept credit cards?

At least at ojai, it was free. :)

yay ojai lol
