<p>You can fill out application forms either online or through NYUCareernet, or ask a professor about it. There are both unpaid research internships as well as paid jobs which involve lab work. Freshmen usually have trouble getting research opportunities unless they have experience, but after that opportunities open up. I’m a chem major and until I took orgo labs, I was pretty limited in “research” opportunities. I asked my undergrad advisor in the Chem dept and he gave me a form to fill out, then I did an informal interview with the PI and was assigned to a lab for the summer.</p>
<p>i’m assuming you have to be a NYU student? i’m actually just a local student from another school. any way to get into research if you’re not a NYU student?</p>
