DS is a current freshman and is considering taking a couple of courses in the 1st Summer Session. Are students allowed to stay on campus after Spring semester or will he need to fly home and back again?
My son stayed on campus for the summer after sophomore year. He was able to sublet a room in a house on the edge of campus. I do not think the dorms are available for students. They do have summer camps that rent out some dorms. But I am not positive. I would call housing and ask them. He loved his summer at Lehigh.
There are also summer classes Lehigh offers where you have the class on the computer which is given on certain days and times. And everyone is one their computers and they do the class live. He took Economics that way after his freshman year. He liked the class and the set up worked well.
Sorry I took so long to reply to your question. I just didn’t see it.
@kikkydee Thanks! I posted this question while I was awaiting a response from Lehigh Residential Life. For anyone interested, there is housing available. DS opted to stay in the Lehigh dorm as he is only taking classes for the first Summer session (6 weeks). Brodhead is the housing facility for temporary and Summer housing so he will stay on campus and transition from his current dorm when Spring semester ends. The housing cost is per session and they have a meal plan available similar to regular semesters. DS will take two courses on campus and one online course that is completed at your own pace. He is looking forward to the Summer session so he will have the prerequisites and flexibility to be able to study abroad in Prague next summer.
Oh, fantastic! Sounds like your son is going to have two great summers!!! Great info about summer school!
