Has anyone used the company dorm2dorm to move your student’s things into storage for the summer? They are located in the NY, NJ, MD, PA and DC areas. They pick up the stuff in the dorm and deliver it back again in August. Just wanted to know if they are reliable.
We used Collegeboxes this year. They showed up as advertised to pick the items up; hopefully they will bring return them where required in the fall lol. My D’s roommate used DormRoomMovers last year and they were very reliable. They go to school in Baltimore. I have heard of dorm2dorm and would think they are equally reliable.
@joshthemackid My child is in school in DC. We’ve used Citystash for the past 3 years, and I have no complaints.
I would suggest asking around to see what companies other students at your school have used in previous years.
Dorm2Dorm showed up as planned. They came into the room and picked everything up. It is a little expensive though. They charge per item. We stored a futon, fridge, shelving and small plastic drawers filled with items. It was very worth it since we do not have to rent a mini van for move out and move in in August.
