Sunspot: a C on my transcript

And that’s a C on Differential Equations, a major course.
That’s Highlight 1. Highlight 2 is I’m an international applicant (from an American tier 2 college) with an appetite for a full FA.

Several academic awards (including an MCM Meritorious). Mensa int’l coordinator. 1 coding-intensive REU at ND, 1 Actuarial internship expected. 2 published papers. Passed 3 SOA exams. GPA 3.90. Finishing up 180 college credits in 1.5 years (A lot by AP, CLEP, Credit-by-exam and summer school). All As or A+s except one A- and one C on Ordinary Diff Eq (Ironically, I got an A on Partial Diff Eq, which takes the former as a prerequisite).
(some are educatedly projectile)
I hate to explain the C. Ridiculous things happen in life.

Tier 2 school, had some guy successfully transfer into MIT before.

Now I started avoiding transfer talks on forums. I’m feeling so low.

Please, don’t mock. Tell me if I should give up dreaming.

Sorry to hear about the C. Have you thought about why it occurred so that you can prevent more in the future? Did you fall behind, should you have sought out help earlier?

I wouldn’t necessarily tell you to stop dreaming, but I will tell you that I personally find it much easier and rewarding to live in the real world. That way, I’m usually pleasantly surprised rather than majorly disappointed.

Pick up the pieces, the rest of your grades are fantastic, and move on. But take your rose colored glasses off and see the world for all it’s true beauty.

bc I got to either graduate or transfer out on a full FA in 2 years … I got to test it out in such a hurry to clear a way for many courses that take it as a prerequisite.

…

you got 1 C and in the next class you got an A and this is the only non A out of 180 units (wait units? or hours, because u only need 128 units to graduate)

I don’t see a problem here

Like Jocelyne626 said, one C is not going to kill you.

while we’re on the topic of a C, question -

if I get admitted transfer to a top tier college w/ all good grades in past semesters & then on my final transcript I get a B or C for this semester, would they revoke my acceptance?

btw Lylebird, since there’s nothing you can do about the past, look forward now & work on improving everything else on your application.

Thanks for the comforts, people.

“if I get admitted transfer to a top tier college w/ all good grades in past semesters & then on my final transcript I get a B or C for this semester, would they revoke my acceptance?”

Won’t they? We are talking about MIT stuff. I’m not sure.

btw does finishing up that quickly count as a merit itself?
