For those who noticed the portal change when did that happen? I know I should be patient but my husband and I met at Binghamton… the wait is tough. Stats and ec are strong but still feel unsure.

I’m not sure if your son is interested, but George Mason University in VA has a growing engineering program that (at least a few years ago) were offering great merit packages for students both instate and out. My family moved three years ago, but we lived near campus. My daughter almost decided to attend there on an engineering scholarship but decided to go for Virginia Tech instead. As I said, it’s a developing program but the location for possible internships and future contacts is invaluable given its nearness to Washington DC.

I noticed it the day the decision came out. Mine was earlier in the day but some folks have said as late as 6pm.

We are in-state as well and are still waiting (Business). This is the last one we are waiting on. I know they said by January 15th, but it’s a bit disappointing to see all of the out of state acceptances go out first.

I was hoping maybe tonight. Does anyone know the timing of acceptances in the portal. I read somewhere that they usually happened on Wednesday or Thursdays.
I haven’t seen any change in my sons portal today so I’m guessing after the holidays.

Yes from what I’ve been tracking wed and thurs. But I feel like a few times it came on other days.
Same… still waiting but Harper… let’s hope we get acceptance before 1/15 and don’t get deferred. My son has a friend group at different schools. It’s about 8 and so far only two know (got in). One oos and one in state… This is his top public. He was deferred from his top private. Happy holiday folks in the meantime.

Still nothing from Bing or Stonybrook. At this point I’m assuming my stepson didn’t get into either (or will be pushed into General Admission). Has anyone actually gotten a rejection from any SUNYs yet? Or have they just not released rejections yet? Thanks!

I would not make that assumption. I think decisions have typically been coming Wed/Thur evenings (7pm). Keep in mind that admissions offices were closed for the past 10 days, so nothing happened last week that could be announced this week. Keep the faith!

I was waiting but checked and my son’s portal shows the changes that people said happens when decision is coming. We haven’t heard from stony yet. Reading from last year don’t get discouraged yet. We heard from Albany and Buffalo. From this group I haven’t really seen rejection

Yup. Same. I heard no one really gets rejected as EA, just deferred. But I imagine many who are deferred don’t get in. This is a reach for us
