Have any spring admits been notified that they got off the fall waitlist?
I was wondering the same. Considering deadlines were pushed back until 5/15, I would think they wouldnât start getting to waitlists until later this month after deadline:(
FYI, we were there this past Sunday, and while I donât know the answer to the timing of potential of spring admits taken off the fall waitlist, the admissions people told me we wouldnât get a financial aid package until my daughter accepted the spring admission/fall waitlist spot and paid the enrollment fee (refundable until 11/15). I had no idea.
Isnât that odd to have to pay deposit before you see financials? Didnât realize they worked that way.
Very odd. Perhaps just for the spring admits and perhaps just âacceptableâ because itâs refundable for quite a while.
My son was originally on the waitlist but received a call on Friday of last week offering him a spot in the fall. He has 20 days to accept the offer.
Same thing happened to my son 5 years ago but they offered him only 2 days to accept. And he did!
Does anyone know if theyâre sending waitlists out on a rolling basis?
I inquired with Bing about waitlist. They responded with the following:
âThe waitlist works as follows:
A spot becomes available, and the admissions committee reviews all waitlisted applicants and notifies the selected student. Unfortunately, because it is based on availability and space, there is no set date or schedule for decisions to go out. You will receive an admission decision by July 15thâ.
Thanks for this. I forgot to post an update but I was actually notified on Tuesday that I had gotten off the waitlist and Iâm in for the fall!
My daughter got a call today offering her a fall spot rather than the spring one.
SameâŠmy child got a call to come off the waitlist yesterday and has to decide by after school today. Already committed elsewhere so itâs a tough decision for her today. I wish we knew this in December:(
They offered the spot on Friday, gave her the weekend to decide, called her DURING SCHOOL on Monday, and when she asked for more time they pressed her for an answer and she accepted the spot. Although Iâm not thrilled with the tactics of their admissions office, I hope everything else will be worth it! Good luck with the decision. My daughter hadnât committed elsewhere, but she is still on a waitlist for a school sheâd consider if it came through.
Hmm⊠That is weird. My daughter also got a call yesterday and she has till June 1st to decide.
That is interesting. Perhaps it has something to do with more or fewer waitlist names for particular schools or programs? I really donât know.
May be.
Could be different by major? This was for nursing.
