Super Bowl Picks

Things have been getting pretty heavy in this forum lately.

So let’s lighten it up, just a bit.

Who do you like in the Super Bowl and by how many points?

Also, name the MVP.

I am in Detroit, where our team will never make the Super Bowl, but we do get to host it every 20 years or so, so I have no opinion as to what a good football team will do.

I don’t know enough about football to even hazard a guess.

so, my Superbowl picks are nachos and hotwings. :)

Are they still calling for 8 inches of snow up there?

I followed the Lions when I was a kid growing up in Battle Creek and can totally understand how you feel. :)

I have a feeling the Steelers will be taking home the Lombardi. I’m not a fan of either team (GO TITANS!), but having watched the playoff games, the Steelers just seem to be clicking. Besides, they are the AFC team, so I guess I gotta go with them. I’m just hoping to see a good, close game. I hate boring, lop-sided games.

They are calling for 6-8 inches of snow, but it is currently about 34 degrees so nothing is sticking…yet. Usually when they call for heavy snow, we get very little.

Downtown was jammed last night and it looks like it will be again tonight. Supposedly, they changed the bar closing time from 2:00 a.m. to 4:00 a.m.

Last night the big parties were the MTV and P Diddy parties. Tonight, the Playboy party is in a hangar at City Airport. Kid Rock played at Joe Louis Arena last night and will play again tonight. Bob Seger joined him last night.

Seahawks 27-17
Shaun Alexander

I may watch the last 1/4 if I remember.
Its a little windy here in Seattle

27-21 Steelers
MVP: Rothleisberger, unless they give it to Bettis for the last game/ Detroit connection

Steelers 31-27

MVP I’ll go with Hines Ward.

Advised S to stay away from burning sofas :)

Is there still a chance for Tom Brady as MVP? :p

Not that I am bitter that they eliminated the Redskins or harbor any prejudices againts the People’s Republic of Seattle but… Steelers by a touchdown.

PS tear the roof off the Silver Dome and lets play some real football

Steelers, 27-23

Haven’t played in the Silver Dome for a number of season - they are now in Ford Field in Downtown Detroit.

Wiiner? I’m betting on the Budweiser commercials.

MVP? Do you think they’ll bring the Budweiser donkey back?

Oh, I thought you were talking about the commercials! When you’re from southeast Michigan, the commercials are the reason you watch!

Seahawks 24-14. I’m going to a Seahawks superbowl party tomorrow (my best friend is a huge Seahawks fan)… I don’t think Ben is a good enough QB to lead his team to victory. And I think everyone is underestimating the Seahawks. I’m from PA and I wore Seahawks clothing to work all week - everyone looked like they were going to crush me. :)

Go Seahawks!

Steelers 23-13

MVP: Big Ben (I can’t spell his last name…)

This year the Seahawks feasted on an easy division and only have a 1-4 record against teams above .500. That’s why I’m a bit skeptical about Seattle.

Ford Field ? Tells you how often Detroit is on the tube in my neighborhood. Next you are going to tell me the Tigers don’t play in Tiger Stadium.

Steelers: 17 - 13

MVP: #43 Troy Polamalu

Tom Brady doing the coin toss should be considered the best play of the game! ;)

I’m picking the Chargers…oops!

Seahawks: 34-24
MVP= Shaun Alexander!

Every one is predicting low to mid 20’s and a close game. I’m saying 35-27 Steelers.
MVP: Clinton Bypass, baby. Gotta go for the Tar Heels (sorry Reed)
