Superscore vs. Single-Sitting

Hi all,
My composite SAT went down 10 points on the makeup January test. It went from a 2240 to a 2230. However, I went up in Math to get a 760, so now my superscore is 2320. If I’m looking at top-tier schools (HYP, Columbia, and liberal arts colleges like Swarthmore or Amherst, too), does it make sense to take it again? I know I can do better – the week of the makeup test was insanely hectic, which probably accounts for the dip in my scores – but I am seriously not in the mood to go through yet another SAT for a better single-sitting score. Should I just quit worrying and focus on ECs and recs and things of that nature? Any and all help/advice would be seriously appreciated. Thanks!

Look for those schools. if they superscore, you are done. But if you think that you can do it better, take the test again. Even though you have good scores. And yes work with your GPA and EC’s. Have you taken SAT subject tests?

Have only taken Bio M and got a 770. Am planning on taking 4 or 5 more (Literature, US History, Math 2, Latin, and Chem – have yet to decide which ones are actually worth it).
