superscoring viewed unfavorably?

Yes, yes I know Stanford says that they will take the best scores from each section. But in reality is there any difference?

Hypothetically, if candidate A scored 2300 in a single sitting, and B scored 2300 in 3 sittings, will B be at a disadvantage?

Not according to what they say.

yeah cause my writing score dropped from 760 to 650 the second time around, and the only reason I retook was to raise my CR, which went from 680 to 750… so I’m hoping they keep their word.

I think this is quite unimportant relative to other factors such as ECs and your essays. Even if your scores are in the same ballpark, the other factors that actually reveal something about who you are become more critical.
