I got a perfect score on the math section of the January SAT. I know that it is unlikely that I will get an 800 again, even if I study really hard. If I were to get a 750 next time, would I be able to use the 800 on my college applications?
In December I got a 1920 (550 CR, 710 M, 660 W), and in January I got a 2060 (610 CR, 800 M, 650 W).
I really want a 2200. Should I take the June SAT, or wait until next fall? I won’t have a lot of time to study for the one in June, but I don’t want to study over the summer if I don’t have to. If I do take the June exam and get in the 2100s, would it look bad for college if I take it for a 4th time just to get a 2200?

Yup! You can superscore. Just to show you, I have a 2230 superscore (710 from january math) with a 650 from march (careless mistakes!!!), and that’s not good. But when you send in the tests which contain the highest sections, admissions officers will only look at your highest sections. Drops of 50 (or even 100!) points just show that it could’ve been a harder test or it just wasn’t your day. “A single sitting is equal to a superscore in our eyes” (as said by a Harvard admissions officer). Hope this helped and good luck! :)

For schools practice on multiple SAT scores, see http://professionals.collegeboard.com/profdownload/sat-score-use-practices-list.pdf
There is nothing on the list saying a limit of attempts except a few schools that mentioned here or there in other places. 85% of students take no more than twice. The study also showed there is little improvement after the third attempt. If the scores have already matched your average practice scores, you should not expect any significant increase in scores simply by retaking it.

Here is a good article about taking SAT multiple times:
[How Many Times Can You Take the SAT?](TestMasters Official Site: Professional Test Prep Since 1991)

In summary, do not take SAT test as practice. Do practice and study before taking SAT. One should work harder before a retake to make the best out of it. If you can reach your goal in practice by the registration deadline, go for it. Otherwise, you should be better prepared over the summer and aim for retaking it in Fall, particularly this would be your third attempt.
