Superscoring

This is just a hypothetical question: if I were to take the ACT and get a perfect 36, and then take it again and get an 18, would it matter AT ALL to colleges that superscore?

They take your best score from each subsection, so I don’t think so

With that large of a discrepancy, I can’t imagine it not raising questions. I also can’t imagine in what universe someone would take an ACT a second time after scoring a 36. I also think you would be crazy to take it again after a 35, maybe even a 34.

It would probably not even get to that point. IMO, it would raise a red flag with ACT and could result in them cancelling the 36. Fortunately, this is a hypothetical.
