Supplement accepted?

Who got the UC Berkeley before and got accepted?

my friend did and then he got fall acceptance. i got spring acceptance.

How long were some of your answers. For some it was short answers and others i did a well done essay sort of?
Also what are the chances someone will get accepted if they get one of these?

anyone else…

i did, and i got accepted… but i feel that i rocked the supplemental, and my recommender did a good job. Write a lot. This is your chance to convince. Don’t hold anything back that you think can help.

There were some questions where the answers were simple.
Like “How many hours do you study”. etc
for those, did it have to be long and “rocked”?

could be a short answer, but each blank is an opportunity. It is a chance to talk about passion, commitment, challenges, priorities. You can speak of educational objectives, aims and philosophy. “If something in the reading or assignment lights a fire, I may go way beyond the immediate obligation, diving into optional material, searching related information on the web or spend a few hours at the library, while other times I have to study efficiently in order to devote the remaining time to my other goals and priorities.” - where you paint a picture to show that you can take better advantage of the options and depth of Cal than the other applicants in the supplemental pool who answered “three hours a day”.

Yeah, but there was another questions which says what where some circumstances that could have caused your study habits. In that one i answered with a long personal story.
The prvious question just wanted how many hours.
So was i suppose to just anwer is it with a number

you can answer it with a single number, with a long story, or ignore the question entirely. You don’t have to respond at all to the request if you don’t want to.

We are just saying that it is a great opportunity and urging people who get the request to treat it seriously - those that put the effort in have quite excellent chances, from the anecdotal evidence here.

Thanks.
Its just that i worried becasue if i say the negative things again of why i could not focus studying. They will see that and reject me.
Thanks though guys…
Im just scared, and nervous

I’m not privy to how the reviewers address this issue, but it seems to me that the reason why the question is asked is to figure out whether the student will be able to study and succeed in a college environment, knowing that there is a lot going on around them. Meaning, the ability of the student to understand what triggers lack of focus issues and how the student compensates and utilizes the resources to take care of business amid the college chaos.

For example, if you need a completely quiet space in order to focus, how are you going to deal with potentially 2 roommates the first year and lots of noise and activity going on outside of class, and how you are going to deal with hundreds of students in a classroom?

Thank You very much
Really thanks its just that im freaking out about this
Thanks Again :)

Got one last year and got accepted for the Fall. My answers were extremely detailed and I put a lot of effort into the supplemental questionnaires. I’m sure that the deadline to submit them have passed? I hope you put your all into it as well since this can very well determine your chances at Berkeley.

yeah i put alot on it, i was very detailed on what my challenges were and how i helped my community.
Im just nervous

So what would be my chances?
