Any critiques would be welcome for the beginning of my supplement please:
Before stepping a foot inside of the New York University Office of Admissions, I was naively in love with NYU. A mix of the allure of living in New York City and artistic ambiance associated with the school had me with stars in my eyes. I started to really see what was truly special about the school when I braved the cold, February air for a campus tour. At NYU, I can expand on my three years of Technical Crew with classes such as Introduction to Lighting Design and Stagecraft I. I would also be pursue my passion of film, fostered by working at my local movie theater, with the class Language of Film: An Introduction. What makes the educational experience unique to this university, however, is the staff and student body. After spending the weekend at New York University with my friend, a current student, I was able to take a glimpse into what it’s like to be a student at the school which includes a staff that supports you in your creative endeavors, and students who share your interests and participate in great collaborations. This is a university where I can face challenges head on knowing I’ll be well prepared.
