Supplement questions

How do I answer the “profile questions” exactly?

I know that for “favourite books” etc. I can just list them, but what about the question “what is the most significant challenge society faces today?”

How did 2013 admits answer this question - with a short one or two sentences or a proper paragraph?

The same for “what historical moment do you wish you could have witnessed?”

Thanks

They want to see that you are a thinker, and that you are able to put your thoughts down in writing. They are not looking for any specific answers.

Thanks for the response. Roughly how many words should I write for the “significant challenge” question? I want to have a clear answer, but at the same time I don’t want them to think I’m babbling on.

Also, for the answers where I use lists, do I simply separate words by commas or separate them by line. I know it seems insignificant, but if one is neater or more accepted, then I will use that one!

Thanks

i used commas because the “line limit” is 2 lines

I am pretty sure there as a “number of characters limit” on all essays/questions. Use that as your guideline for the length.

Sci-Fry, mine were really short. 1 sentence max. To be honest, I can’t remember what I put for the “most significant challenge.” I find so many flaws in society I don’t remember which one I listed… I think it was something about breeding unruly youth creating a worse society in each generation… As for the history one, I was so stumped you would not believe. I hate history and dropped it 5 years ago and was clueless as to what to put. Well obviously I ended up putting something eventually but I can’t remember what.

Don’t stress over these questions. They’re only there for the adcoms to get to know you as a person, and they’re not judged against a set criteria. Just be honest about your likes. You can add in one thing, or as many as will fit. I just listed stuff.
