Supplement Short Answer

Should I approach this question as if I am truly writing a note to my roommate, or should I just write about things I would tell my roommate?

Also, should I just tell about things, or should I explain them why as well?

Thanks a lot!

Whatever people say, there is no right answer. Write whatever you feel like writing.

Thank you, I followed your advice.

For the profile questions (specifically the historical moment, favorite events, and past two summers questions), are we expected to explain briefly why we chose what we chose/its impact on us, or will a list suffice for these as well?

Either would work I guess. Some require more explanation than others. I explained the social and historical significance of my event, for example. Others, like your favourite authors/movies/books, can be done simply as a list.
