First of all, there is no place on the supplement to put that you had a relative who attended Bucknell. Should I just email my admissions counselor once I found out who that is?

Second of all, the three required essays about you. The instructions are:
“The following questions are your opportunity to demonstrate, within the context of the Common Application, what makes you uncommon and uniquely you. In your responses, be bold and have some fun really! Tell us about your talents and interests so that we can know the you behind the transcripts.”

But then it says, “What are the three most important things Bucknell’s faculty and students should know about you? (up to 200 words each)”

So…should I do creative, willing to take leadership, and proficient with foreign languages?
Or should I put reverses music videos, tracks dreams, and believes in reincarnation?

I did somewhere in-between those two. I don’t think they’re looking for quite as personal as tracking dreams and reincarnation (unless you have a really good story to go with them), but they want something more creative than the standard high school accomplishments. For example, one of mine was about where I come from, the different places I’ve called home and why they mattered to me. It lets them know something about me but still on an applicant-official level.

It says, “Tell us about your talents and interests so that we can know the “you” behind the transcripts.”
How are different homes talents and interests?
What did you do for the other two?

My answer told them something personal about my background and how I have grown into the person I now am. The point is they want to get to know who you are beyond the numbers and figures aka the transcripts. Whether it’s talents and interests or something that contributed to my success in school and outside of school the point of this question is to know more about you that they can’t learn from the standard material.

Ah, got it.
So i did 1) I keep track of things. 2) I philosophize often. and 3) I am willing to be first.
And I’ve written 200 words for each, provided specific and unique examples, so I think I’m good to go.
Thanks for the help.
