Supplemental Information with Portfolio?

I’m sending in a portfolio for an architecture school (regular decision) soon, and I was wondering whether it would be okay to put in a resume or letter of interest/intent as one of the last few pages of the portfolio. Is it looked down upon or unnecessary, or do you guys think it would help? And do people usually send letters of interest when they aren’t deferred or waitlisted?

Btw, the portfolio gets sent directly to the architecture school, not the general admissions office.

Honestly, if a school doesn’t ask for something similar to a letter of intent in their essays or for a resume, they don’t want one. Schools like portfolios that are concise and express your creative ability, and I feel like putting extra pieces of information in muddies your message.
