Supplemental information

I applied ED to cornell but had to leave out information that was important to me. I’m a closeted non-binary lesbian who lives in a country where I’m illegal and this is quite important in my ‘story’ or the personality that they would see. I intend on being a part of lgbt clubs and do my part for the community to support others like me, and Cornell seems to value that. I couldn’t mention this anywhere else for my safety so is it worth writing about my identity as a South asian nonbinary lesbian and how that pushes me to do my best to make cornell a safer space, as well as my future intentions for the field of clinical psychology (that I intend to be a part of) which needs to be more inclusive and catered to the specific mental health needs of the lgbt + poc community? Pls give me your honest opinion on whether or not it adds depth to myself as an applicant, as this is a more true version of myself

Hi! As you said yourself, this information creates a more authentic version of yourself. I personally think this is super interesting and could separate you from others. Did you submit your Cornell supplemental yet? If not, I think you should touch on this subject
