Supplemental material

I’m sending a vocal jazz supplement before the SCEA deadline. I am self-taught in jazz and have had no formal training, but I’ve been told by school/regional music faculty that my recordings are worthy of national recognition. I have no jazz extracurriculars, because it’s pretty much just a hobby of mine.
The admissions website says only some supplements will be reviewed at all - does that mean my lack of jazz ECs will discourage them from allowing it to be forwarded to the music department?
(as background, I believe I’m at least qualified for serious review in terms of grades, scores, and other application materials)

If Admissions is interested in you because of your academic strength and “character,” my guess is that they will listen to your jazz supplement, even though you lack jazz EC’s.
