<p>I don’t understand what Stanford means by not adding supplementary credentials.</p>
<p>On the “additional information” section of the common app, I am writing about my internships. I couldn’t really add it anywhere in the “activities” section of the common app. Is that fine?</p>
<p>What are supplementary credentials? Is it just like newspaper articles, magazine articles, etc?</p>
<p>Yes that should be fine. Supplementary credentials are extra letters of recommendation, art supplements, research abstracts/papers, the things you mention – really anything that is not required by Stanford. </p>
<p>They discourage sending supplementary materials but if you think they will immensely help your application then you might consider sending them.</p>
