Supplementary material ad SS numbers?

<p>Why do colleges want soclal security numbers on everythng?..I only ask b/c I sent in an extra resume without putting my name and ss# on each sheet to my top school with activities that I couldn’t fit on the comm app.</p>

<p>Will it get lost/If I call will they be able to tell me whether or not they ever got the supp material?</p>

<p>Having your SSN on every document ensures that everything is filed properly; it is possible that there is more than one applicant with the same name. It is impossible for two applicants to have the same SSN though.</p>
