Supplementary Material- research question

I’ve done research and this is my second year. My current research project is much MUCH more advanced than my previous work as I am now working in the labs of a high tech organization. Do you think it would be possible to include information about what I am working on now? My research advisers both work at the same corporation, but are different people, and on some forms, they only allow putting in one name. Is it better to just talk about this stuff in my essay then? Rather than sending a full blown supplement.

Problem is, I’ve also danced classical ballet for 14 years, and I was going to write about something that happened with an injury that happened recently. However, I don’t know if that essay should be a supplementary essay and an essay talking about my internship at this major engineering corporation (I’m the first high school student to work in this laboratory) as my main essay for the common application. Thanks!
