The Harvard Supplement allows for one to submit supplementary materials if one thinks it would particularly strengthen the application. However, it calls for only the most advanced work to be submitted.

My question is: How advanced is advanced? Is it enough to have conducted research on proteins involved in the suppression of HIV? I have a very good presentation that basically summarizes my research, and I was wondering if that was worth submitting with my application? I didn’t actually CURE AIDS or anything, but its a step in that direction and its more than MOST 17 year olds.

I also stress the opportunity to conduct this research in my application if that makes any difference. I am really passionate about the application of biology in medicine, and I think this aptly shows my passion, dedication, and quality of work, especially concerning math and science.
