So I have this mentor from a project I did last year. His name is Dr. Andrew Greene, and he is the head of proteomics at the Medical College of Wisconsin. I attempted to send him an email requesting a letter of recommendation from him before I applied SCEA (roughly 4 months ahead of time), and never got a response. I then saw him at a presentation we had to give on the project I did last year this past weekend. He told me he never received a letter of rec email from me, but said he would gladly write me one. My question is this: Is it too late for him to send in an additional letter of rec, or would I have to wait to be deferred (if I am in fact deferred)?

I think all materials for SCEA had to be in by Nov. 1st, but I’m sure you can send it in for Regular if you’re deferred. Just follow the guidelines for the letter here: [Supplementary Materials | Yale College Admissions](<a href=“Supplementary Materials | Yale College Undergraduate Admissions”>Supplementary Materials | Yale College Undergraduate Admissions)
