<p>I asked a teacher to write a supplementary rec, and he just emailed me that he sent in the rec on Friday. This is the first part of my application package to get submitted to colleges. I haven’t submitted any part of the application nor have I sent in any standarized test scores to colleges, so technically, colleges don’t know that I exist. Later, when I send in my application, will the colleges be able to match my application with the supplementary rec?</p>
<p>I don’t really understand what you’re saying–did you send in a recommendation letter to the college already? Because you said that your teacher sent in the rec on Friday but also that you haven’t submitted any part of the application…</p>
<p>They’ll just get it super-early. I think they’ll keep the rec and start a file for your application, but I would wait a week or two and then call the colleges, just to be safe.</p>
