Supply Chain Management + IS/IT

Hi,

I am thinking about majoring in Supply Chain Management and Information Systems and Information Technology at UIUC. I am trying to figure out what kind of jobs I could have with these two majors. Would I be able to get a job at a technology focused company such as Microsoft? If you could just give your thoughts on this combination of majors and the job prospects that would come with them that would be great.

Thanks

Have you had business courses yet?

Yes finishing ACCY 201 and Business Stats this semester.

Have taken Macro and Micro Econ.

Dude go to the career center website and find out who hires on your campus and for what(Microsoft might hire accounting students for accounting but only hire Computer Science types for software work). I know UIUC has been #1 for Electrical Engineering so make sure Microsoft isn’t just hiring them to work on making the next XBox and ignoring people in your situation.

I can’t comment on your prospects with Supply chain management or IT, but it is nice to see a change from the usual accounting vs. finance on here. Good luck figuring something out.

Thanks for the positive comments guys. I know Microsoft hires in business but I don’t know what for specifically. I see that IBM Consulting hires IT majors

Sorry Microsoft doesn’t hire at UIUC for Business
