Keep well and my prayers.

LTS, prayers here as well.

LTS…I am sorry for this complication but I know you are getting the help you need. I am sending prayers and positive thoughts your way. I know you can tackle anything. We’re all behind you and thinking of you. Let us know how things go when you feel up to it. We’re here for you.

All the best.

Prayers to you, LTS!

LTS: I’m sorry to hear about this latest complication. My best wishes for a good outcome.
I’ve been watching videos of the Young@Heart choir’s rendition of Coldplay’s “Fix You.” The soloist Fred Knittle is an 81 year old who is attached to an oxygen bottle. I wish “we on CC” could fix you. You know you’re in our thoughts.

LTS- we’re with you!!!

You are always included in my prayers, LTS. Here’s hoping for a good result of your brain scan.

Keep climbing…you and your D remain in my thoughts.

LTS, I too developed a blood clot and was told it is fairly common for those undergoing treatment for cancer (yeah, a fringe benefit LOL! ). I was then put on coumadin until I was ready to have my port removed.

But yes, a clot in the lung is serious business and it is good you are getting the appropriate medical attention.

Hoping this turns out to be a minor blip for you, that the brain MRI is clear, and that you will soon be back home.

Thinking about you hard…
Yes, blood cloths are very common in cancer patients. Occasionally physician will opt to put a special filter in a blood vessel to “catch” them before they can cause any problems.
Hoping for a clear scan along with you…

Hi…I wanted to let everyone know asap, especially considering how supportive everyone here is, that the brain MRI came back “stable disease”, no change from March scans…

More later…

Side bar:
Marite…you should try to see the entire documentary about Young at Heart. It is inspiring. I saw it at the movie theater but it may be out on DVD, you’d have to check. Actually, Sally Rubenstone, from CC’s, mother-in-law is in it. This past June, my daughter and her a capella group were the opening act for the Young at Heart Chorus at the Beacon Theater in NYC. And yes, the song, Fix You, by Fred Knittle, while on oxygen is very moving. The entire film is moving. There is a part where the Young at Heart Chorus performs at a prison.

Crossing fingers and toes for LTS today that all is solved with treating the clot issue.

Oops, cross postedd with LTS…yay!!! Our prayers are working. You are incredible to check in as we are all thinking of you.

Keep up the fight…you’re winning!

A dear dear LTS. Thanks for your thoughtfulness of checking in with us. So sorry about the clot, but cheering for the scans!!!

Hang in there.

Yes, it’s beautiful here. Looking at my window at enormous contented trees and thinking of you.

LTS, so glad that you are receiving such great medical care. Great news about your scan! You are so thoughtful to keep us all posted.

LTS: Great news on the brain scan. Now on to dealing with the blood clot. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Soozie: I missed it when it came out. the DVD won’t be out until mid-September.

The scan just confirmed what your posts demonstrate. Your brain is no worse for wear!!
