Wonderful news about the scan! Thank you for letting us know so quickly.

Adding my voice to the choir of prayers for you, LTS. Thank you for sharing the latest good news!

That is great news, LTS! Here’s hoping that the clot issue gets taken care of quickly and easily.

LTS,
Feel us? We’re all around you! And we all knew your brain was working just fine

The filter is called a Greenfield filter – my mom had one inserted when she had a port installed. She has severe clotting issues so it was precautionary, and we are sure it has saved her life many times.

Talk to the docs about the port being the underlying issue. There may not be much they can do since the port seems necessary for your comfort and veins, but my other cancer friends who have had ports say they can be a major source of mischief re: infection and clots. Let your caregivers know in case something goes awry. Don’t ignore warning signs that something’s amiss.

LTS, I check this thread a few times every day to see how things are going. It’s inspiring to see the courage and strength that come through your posts. You’ve got a whole army of people pulling for you! Peace and strength today and tomorrow and many, many days to come.

“Wooo–hooo” : heard around here just now when I read the latest from LTS re the “stable” brain scan!!

Wonderful news indeed! One more “army member” here (per Tiredofsnow’s post above).

Wonderful things. Continuing to keep you in my prayers!!!

LTS -Great news! You have a lot of people pulling for you.

(Your army seems to be getting bigger and bigger.)

LTS, I am praying, sending out happy thoughts, and just generally trying to put positive energy out into the world in hopes it reaches you. You are an amazing woman. Thank you so much for keeping us in your loop.

Well, a clot in the face of stable disease is not so bad
It could have been lurking for awhile, hidden behind the primary and or the pneumonia. This is certainly treatable. The meds are a true pain in the A–, but they are life savers. I know you hate taking meds, but heparin or lovenox and coumadin do not make you feel spacey or nauseaus or any of that nonsense, so in that respect they are “clean” drugs. Sure, they have potent side effects because there is a narrow window of effacacy and too much means bleeding problems. But they are fairly easy to manage by following blood levels, and you don’t really have too many options. So unless you are ready to throw in the towel AND YOU ARE NOT, they will get you on heparin or low molecular weight heparin (like lovenox) and coumadin, and you’ll deal with it. Because we will just pray more and it will be just another hurdle you will get over.

“Because we will just pray more and it will be just another hurdle you will get over.”

In Red Heels, I might add ;)

Visualizing LTS leading her army over a hurdle course, all wearing red heels. :)

God, I forgot the RED HEELS!

LTS could win an Olympic medal for how well she jumps hurdles!

[The Red Hat Society Official Website](http://www.redhatsociety.com/)
all the talk about red shoes reminded me of the ‘red hat’ ladies. anybody ever hear of them?

LTS, great news on the ‘stable’ scans, thinking of you often

sueinphilly - yes! I loved the poem long before they created a society around it. Back on pag 201 of this thread, post # 3010, I wrote a poem for LTS that was supposed to be a take-off of the red hat poem. (Started out the same - after that I didn’t try to follow it.)

[Funny side - I didn’t want to search through 276 pages for the poem, so I tried to think of a word I could search for. I knew “red heels” or “hurdles” would get too many hits. So I searched on a different word and I was right - that is the only time in the whole thread that word appears. I don’t want to write it here, or I won’t be able to search on it anymore. A clue: Starts with a t and is how you end up after growing
NO, no, “fatter” doesn’t start with a t.]

LTS, so far, stable liver, stable brain (I think that puts you one ahead of me  ) - Yes, I’m counting. Congrats!

LTS, adding my cheer for your good news! Carry on.
